The Ureibe near Steibis is on the northern slope of the Seelekopf above the Untere Lauchalpe. The age of this female yew is estimated at 600 to 800 years. This makes it one of the oldest trees in Germany. Its trunk is hollow and about 5 meters in circumference. About 1.5 km east of Steibis are the Buchenegger waterfalls in the Weißach. The traditional alpine dairy "Bergkäserei Steibis" in the middle of the village offers guided tours of the production of the mountain cheese produced there. In summer there are various activities available, such as the golf course in Steibis, hiking in the alpine region or Nordic walking. In winter, the Skiarena Steibis offers skiers and pedestrians an 8-seater gondola lift on the Imberg and the Fluhexpress as well as numerous tow lifts with a total of around 17 kilometers of slopes. In addition, prepared cross-country skiing trails in classic style and skating and a toboggan run are available. There are numerous possibilities for ski and snowshoe tours.
